Under 14s win

Today the under 14s travelled to Histon

For our third league game of the season. A perfect day for football and a wonderful flat playing surface set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic team performance.

We started brightly with quick passing and good intensity. The breakthrough came when Ollie wells was fouled in the box after a strong run. Ethan Dixon stepped up to put us 1 up from the spot.

The second goal soon followed, Ethan robbed the defender and flicked the ball neatly past the keeper. Not long after Ollie Wells fired a hard drive from the edge of the box to send us to half time 3 up.

The second half started in a similar way, with us on the front foot, limiting Histon due to our high possession.

We soon added a fourth, a fantastic corner from Jaxon Hoskins was met by Sean Doyle with a fine headed goal.

We continued to control possession and our link up

Play was really strong. A fifth goal was inevitable and some quick feet in the box and a cute finish from Finley Knappett was the icing on the cake.

Another strong defensive display kept Histon out and our all round team shape was very pleasing. Any player could have got MOM today but Jaxon Hoskins edged it with his clever wing play. Well played lads!! 🖤💛⚽️
