MILDENHALL TOWN FC IS BORN
1898 Mildenhall Town FC are a long-established club formed in 1898. The football club has been an integral part of East Anglia and the local area for generations

WINNING THE SUFFOLK JUNIOR CUP
1899 - 1900 The early years are vague, but it is known the club won the Suffolk junior cup as long ago as 1899/1900 when they defeated Southwold 4-0 in the final.

MARCHING BAND
1920 - 1990 Brian Hensby a supporter and club secretary for over fifty years can remember ground sharing with the cricket team where the square was within the centre circle. Also, stories of Mildenhall players in the 1920s getting changed in the local town hall before each home game. The team was then walked to the ground with a band playing in front of them.

BRIAN BRIGDEN ERA
1990 - 2010 Under the leadership of chairman Brian Brigden, the club saw a major transformation during the 90s, bringing the ground up to current standards and building the excellent clubhouse. Mildenhall then went through a period of consistent creditable positions in the ECL premier division.

DOUBLE LEAGUE AND CUP WINNERS
2016 - 2017 Our biggest success up until then has to be the 2016/17 season where Mildenhall became double league and cup winners. Finishing the league 9 points clear and winning promotion to the Isthmian League

THE WEAVERS ERA
2023 - 2026 Under relatively new manager Phill Weavers we were champions of Thurlow Nunn Premier League and won promotion to the Isthmian League - North Division. We managed to spend just 2 seasons at Step 4 before we were relegated. Mid-season Phil announced he would be leaving at the end of the season and from then on, the team lost momentum and results worsened and we ended up getting relegated.

PRESENT DAY
2026 - NOW New Manager Alex Rossis and Ben Mayhew rebuilt the squad after relegation with only one player staying. We have a new, young, exciting squad and we look forward to where can go and what we can achieve under the new regime.

Interview with Joint Manager Alex Rossis after home defeat to Walsham
An insight into the thoughts of Alex Rossis following our first league defeat of the season.

Chairman’s Notes vs Walsham
Today we welcome the Willows to the Riverside for our first encounter for three years. We last played WLW on 23 Dec 2023, where two goals from Jarid Robson and one from Tanner Call saw us prevail by three goals to one, the Walsham reply coming through Charlie Norman. Today, we have Ryan Dunne in goal who played in that match for Walsham and I expect Walsham will field Tommy Robinson, who played for Mildenhall in that fixture. I must congratulate Walsham Le Willows for embar

Chairman’s Notes - Home to Haverhill
Tonight we welcome Haverhill Rovers to the Riverside Stadium for their first visit since August 2022, when Hall held sway by 4 goals to 2, coutersey of a George Bugg hat trick, and one from Tanner Call. Rhyse Hudson and Kade Ivatt were Rover’s scorers. Both clubs have gone sperate paths since, ourselves getting promoted a season later, and then after two years in the Isthmian League, we are back in the Thurlow Nunn league, and Rovers were actually relegated that season, bounc

Post-match interview with Ben Mayhew
Interview with Manager Ben Mayhew following today’s 3-3 draw away to Great Yarmouth.

Season opener ends in a draw
First game of the season finishes in a 3-3 draw. We led 3 times and they pegged us back each time, scoring the final equaliser in the 103rd minute. A good team performance with some really strong individual performances just wasn’t enough to get the 3 points. Cam Hynes with 2 and Joe McNeil with 1. Never seen a football game go on that long and there wasn’t even a hydration break. Ref’s watch must have broken.

Interview with Director of Football, Jon Sadler
