On Saturday we faced Trumpington knights, and from the off we knew it was going to be a tricky contest.
On a long and narrow bobbly pitch we found it hard to get the ball down and play our passing style of football. Credit to Trumpington for nullifying our attempts.
However we made the breakthrough when Ethan Dixon dropped deep to pick the ball up and played a lovely pass through to Dion who poked home to put us one up. Trumpington came back and caught us on the counter attack to draw level.
The second half started in similar fashion with scrappy football.
We spoke about game management and finding solutions when things are difficult.
A late free kick and a bit of quality proved to be the difference. A lovely ball from Harry Winstone and a cute flick from our skipperSean Doyle gave us the win.
Two wins from two in a difficult league. Special mention for our MOM Harry Tongue, playing out of position and doing a great Job. Also great debut from Alexander in the sticks.
Not our best display but we all stuck together to get over the line!
