Mildenhall’s U10s got their Cup campaign underway in style with a convincing victory over Chesterton Eagles! ⚽💛🖤

After a lively start from Chesterton, the boys settled quickly and began to show their quality. Charlie opened the scoring with a neat finish from Rhian’s cross, before Oscar doubled the lead with a clever lob over the keeper. More goals followed from Charlie and Ronnie — the latter from James’ corner — giving Mildenhall a commanding lead at half-time.

The second half brought more action. Rhian wowed the crowd with a stunning solo goal from a tight angle, Charlie calmly slotted home a penalty for a hat-trick, and Rhian added another soon after. Ronnie rounded off the scoring with a determined finish, while Chesterton managed to grab one back.

There were highlights all over the pitch: Liam made some superb saves to keep the team secure, Faheem pulled off brave blocks in defence, and the passing moves through midfield kept Mildenhall on the front foot. Jack linked up brilliantly with Rhian on several occasions, only to be denied by the woodwork or the keeper, while Kieran was rock-solid throughout, showing great composure at the back.

👏 A big shout-out to Ronnie, named Player of the Match, for his tireless effort and key contributions at both ends of the pitch.

The coaches praised the team’s energy and determination, noting how well the boys combined their individual talent with strong teamwork. A fantastic way to start the Cup journey! 🏆✨
